Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to the use of Meowtown Cattery's boarding services. By making a booking you agree to these terms. We operate by appointment only.

Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed when we have confirmed availability and you have accepted our quote. Full payment is made at the point of booking.

Cancellation policy

Please give 14 days' notice prior to arrival day to amend or cancel any booking. After this period no refund will be given. No refund will be given for early collection once the stay has begun, unless we agree otherwise.

Stay duration and charges

Minimum stay is 3 days (2 nights). All part days are charged as full days, including arrival and departure days. An additional fee of £10 per day applies for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Vaccination requirements

All cats must be vaccinated against Feline Flu and Feline Enteritis. Proof of vaccination (current and valid) must be provided before boarding or at the time of booking in. We reserve the right to refuse admission if vaccinations are not in order.

Neutering

All male cats over the age of 6 months must be neutered before being boarded.

Owner's responsibility

You must inform us at the time of booking and/or on the day of arrival of any medical history, allergies, behavioural issues, or special dietary requirements concerning your cat(s). Failure to disclose relevant information may result in additional charges or refusal of future bookings.

Emergency veterinary care

We will endeavour to contact you if your cat needs veterinary attention. You give permission for any medication or parasite treatment to be given as needed or as advised by a vet, and charged to the owner. We will try to use your own vet if treatment is needed but may use ours if necessary. If your cat requires isolation due to infectious disease this will be at Lida vets and charged to the owner. All veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner.

Liability

We take every care whilst looking after your cat. We cannot be held responsible for any illness, disease, death or loss whilst your cat is in our care or during transport to or from the cattery. We cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss of property whilst on the premises. Cats are left in our care at the owner's risk.

Sharing accommodation

Sharing of accommodation is only permitted for cats from the same household. You consent to cats being separated if required for any reason.

Uncollected cats

If no contact is had with the owner or emergency contact after 14 days of the collection date, we will rehome your cat(s) after all efforts have been made to make contact.

Right to refuse

We reserve the right to refuse boarding if we consider a cat to be unwell, unvaccinated, unneutered (where required), or a risk to other cats or staff. We may also refuse or terminate a booking for breach of these terms.
